The session
They were relaxed, natural, and completely themselves. It was the kind of session where you barely have to direct anyone — the connection between them carried the whole shoot. We moved along the waterfront as the light dropped: standing with the skyline behind them, sitting on a bench, a close embrace, a few quiet frames in between.
Why the Seaport for engagement photos
The Seaport gives you two looks in one walk. Glass and steel on one side, open harbor and the downtown skyline on the other, and in the last hour before sunset the light comes across the water and warms both. I time Seaport sessions to that window on purpose — forty-five minutes here in the right light beats two hours in the wrong one.
What to expect
An engagement session with me is a walk with a camera, not a photo shoot. I'll give you something to do with your hands when you need it and step back when you don't. Steffi and Daniel needed almost nothing, which is why this gallery looks the way it does.

- Book the last hour before sunset. The waterfront faces the light and it's the difference between flat and glowing.
- Wear layers you can move in — there's always a breeze off the harbor.
- Pick one stretch of the waterfront rather than trying to cover the whole neighborhood; the best frames come from slowing down.
