I photograph proposals, engagements, and weddings — but what I'm really capturing is how it feels to be in that moment.
My approach is simple: no stiff poses, no forced smiles. I keep things relaxed so you can forget the camera's there. I'll guide you when it helps and step back when it doesn't. Most people tell me they're "not good on camera." Nobody is, at first. It stops mattering about ten minutes in.
Proposals: you ask the question, I handle everything else
If you're planning a proposal, I take the whole thing off your hands. We usually plan together for a few weeks — the location, the timing, the route your partner won't question, where I'll be hiding, and what we do if the weather turns. On the day I arrive early, blend in like a tourist, and shoot the moment from a distance. Your partner won't know I'm there until it's over; then I step forward, introduce myself, and we take celebration portraits while you're both still shaking.
Most people reach out with just a ring and a rough idea. Some reach out the same day. We figure the rest out together — and by the time the day arrives, you're calm. That's the whole point. The stories on this site are all real proposals, engagements and weddings, told the way they actually happened.
Engagements and weddings
Engagement sessions are a walk with a camera, not a photo shoot: forty-five minutes to two hours in a place that feels like you two, timed for the best light on your date. Dogs are welcome. My wedding work is mostly small, intimate days — city hall ceremonies, elopements, backyard weddings, and full days with the people who matter most. Coverage runs from two hours to eight, and travel anywhere in Massachusetts is included.
Where I shoot
I'm based in Boston and cover Greater Boston, Cambridge, Brookline and the rest of Massachusetts, with trips further out when it's the right fit. Most of my work happens in a handful of places I know well: the Public Garden, the Seaport and Fan Pier, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, the South End, Cambridge, the Arnold Arboretum and Castle Island — plus Boston City Hall and Cambridge City Hall for weddings. I've written a guide for each one, because the difference between a good proposal photo and a great one is usually which corner you stand in and what time you get there.

Every package includes planning help, a weather backup, edited high-resolution images, an online gallery and full printing rights. You'll have a sneak peek within 48 hours — enough to announce the engagement — and the full gallery within two weeks for proposals and engagements, or 30 days for weddings. Proposals and engagement sessions start at $699; weddings start at $2,649. There are no hidden fees and no surprise add-ons — everything is on the packages page.
If you book your proposal or engagement session with me, the session fee comes off your wedding package when you book the wedding within the credit window.
