Griffin and Hannah drove up to Acadia for their engagement session, and the Ocean Path delivered — granite cliffs, crashing waves, and a quiet that made everything feel unhurried.

The session
They were easy and natural together, no directing needed. We walked the cliffs, stopped where the granite opened up over the water, sat on the rocks for a while, and kept moving as the light went soft and golden over the water. The last frames are a close embrace at sunset with the Atlantic behind them.
Why Acadia
Acadia is a long way from Boston — about five hours — and it's worth it if the two of you are outdoors people. Ocean Path is the easiest stretch to shoot: a walkable trail, granite, big waves, and light that turns gold over the water in the last hour. You don't need to climb anything to get frames like these.

One of those sessions where everything just felt right — the couple, the place, the light. Hannah's review says the photos turned out incredible; I'd say the two of them and the coastline did most of that, and I just kept up.
If you're planning an Acadia engagement session
- Plan it as a trip, not an afternoon: the drive from Boston is around five hours, so stay the night in Bar Harbor.
- Ocean Path in the last hour before sunset is the simplest win. Cadillac at sunrise needs a vehicle reservation in season.
- Wear shoes you can walk granite in, and bring a layer — the coast is cooler than it looks.
