Chris started months ahead, and we built a clean plan together — timing, location, where I'd be hiding, the backup if it got crowded. The day came, and his timing didn't go exactly how he'd mapped it. He almost panicked. I told him not to worry — that's exactly what early scouting is for. I'd already been at the Seaport for an hour, so when his timing shifted I just adjusted on the fly. He led Hailey to the spot, asked, and she said yes — completely surprised. The plan flexed; the moment didn't. By the time we wrapped portraits along the waterfront, you'd never have known anything was off.
