The plan
Some proposals are stories about what almost went sideways. Jack's wasn't. No rain, no awkward crowds, no last-second changes. That's not luck so much as the plan being boring in the right ways: a spot with a second position next to it, a time when the Garden is quieter, and a route Hailey had no reason to question.
The moment
He walked Hailey into the Public Garden like it was any other afternoon, knelt right where we'd planned, and she said yes. The sequence in the gallery — the approach, the knee, the yes — is about fifteen seconds of real time, which is why being in position early matters more than anything else I do.
Portraits after
Then we wandered the Garden for portraits while the light held: the two of them together, Hailey with the ring, a proper engagement portrait at the end. Sometimes the best plan is the one that gets out of its own way.

- Quieter windows exist even on weekends. I'll tell you which hour for your date.
