"He had a plan. We ran it. It worked."
Jack and I put the whole thing together — the timing, the spot, the route, the backup. The day came and it just… worked. No rain, no awkward crowds, no last-second changes. Some proposals are stories about what almost went sideways. Jack's wasn't. He walked Hailey into the Public Garden like it was any other afternoon, knelt right where we'd planned, and she said yes. Sometimes the best plan is the one that gets out of its own way. We wandered the garden for portraits while the light held.
