Jay reached out with the kind of calm confidence that told me he'd been thinking about this for a while. He'd handed off the logistics weeks before — the day of, he was just present. He wanted the Seaport — somewhere with the water behind them and the city skyline stretching out. We talked through the timing, the walk-up, where I'd be posted without being spotted. On the day, everything clicked. He walked Amrita along the waterfront like it was just another evening out, then pulled her in close and knelt. The look on her face was everything. Afterward, we stayed and wandered the Seaport together for portraits while the light was still golden.
