Chris reached out early — Dartmouth Square was always the spot. We mapped every detail in advance, but the day came and it was pouring. Chris called me worried, ready to call it off. I told him not to think about it — that's my job. We waited for a window in the rain, he led Samantha into the square, and dropped to one knee under the trees. She said yes. The square was empty, the light was soft, and the rain actually made it better — quiet, private, theirs.
